INITIATE YOUR DESIGN -- MAE 189A
During this quarter you should:
Review the steps in the design process (some additional links are provided at the design process page)
Develop a specification sheet (see the example) to define the scope of your project; it is against these specifications that the final project will be measured
Begin a Project Binder - this binder is THE defining document for your project; IT SHOULD BE KEPT UP-TO-DATE!
Arrange regular meetings with your Project Advisor and any outside consultants
Document weekly progress to the Project Binder; ideally the progress will be a listing of completed action items from the prior weeks meetings. Be sure to document which group member is responsible for completing the tasks.
