Modern imaging technologies provide a means for high-quality visualizations of medical data sets.

CT and MRI scans of human anatomy are used to obtain better knowledge of interior structures of the human body, both for research and diagnostics.

To get a real impression of the spatial arrangement of objects, a sequence of two-dimensional slices (raw data) has to be processed prior to visualization.

With this technology and our knowledge of modern image processing and visualization techniques, we are able to enhance image quality and provide expressive visualizations of any medical data set.

The CoMED system is a modular environment and a toolbox for preprocessing of data and imaging algorithms. The open structure of our system is designed as a platform for integration of routines for customization and adaption to user-specific needs.
